Milena Georgieva was born in Sofia in 1989. She studied "Poster and Visual Communication" at the National Academy of Arts in Sofia in the period 2007-2008. Since 2009 she has been studying "Landscape Design" with Prof. Mario Tertsich at the University of Applied Arts in Vienna. She has participated in various projects and exhibitions in Austria and Bulgaria. In 2012 she won first prize for the video "Breakthrough", together with Leo Calice and Christina Gruber at the Young Creative Chevrolet Competition.

She lives and studies in Vienna, Austria.

"With thе interactive installation "Growing Responsibility" I wanted to touch upon the problems of migration, raising the issue of the visitor’s active position towards invasive plant species. The installation is conceived as a study on the responsibility of the viewer. He is being challenged to reconsider the issues of migration as a natural distribution; of setting limits to changes and to limit the possibility of species’ adaptation."
