Elizabeth Thallauer was born in 1971 in Sofia, Bulgaria. Between 2008 and 2014 she studies at the Academy of Fine Arts in Nuremberg, Germany. In 2011 she studied at the Finnish Academy of Fine Arts, Helsinki.

She has participated in a long list of exhibitions, some of which: Attention! Art in Progress!, Nuremberg, Germany (2014); The song of the moment, BASIS, Frankfurt, Germany (2014); So near, so far, Nuremberg, Germany (2013); Art Maximal, Maximilianeum, Munich, Germany (2012); Project Intimate Space of Georgia Creimer, Olympic Village Innsbruck, Austria (2011); Unfinnished, Kaikugallery, Helsinki, Finnland (2011); Arte Fractal, Higher Technical School of Engineering, Bilbao, Spain (2010).

"My work reflects social, political, ecological and ethic aspects of our time. The diversity of the consumer landscape has expanded to such a degree that the supply of materials that can be adapted to an artistic context seems limitless. By creating new esthetics and rethinking basic information, I aim at provoking new cognition, questioning the basics and redefining known structures."
